During the course of the trial, however, Eva provided analysis of previously interpreted transcripts, gave evidence to the court as to the accuracy of an interview with the accused, and facilitated numerous conferences between the Crown and the Polish speaking victim. Ms Hussain's diligence, skill and commitment to the task were apparent to all who worked with her, to the extent that the Judge, His Honour Judge Cullity, was minded to comment on the level of assistance she provided to the court. The trial was demanding and at times emotional. Ms Hussain indicated, at its conclusion, that it was one of her most challenging professional appearances to date.
