International services
Polaron is recognised as a leader in assisting businesses and individuals with solutions for international documents. We have years of knowledge on the specific requirements each country or state has when it comes to translations, vital records or document certification.
For example, most government authorities in Australia require that translations be carried out by NAATI accredited translators, whereas in Poland, all official translators need to be done by sworn translators. Many people make the mistake of translating their documents in the country of origins, only to discover that the target country does not accept them. So whether you travel for business or pleasure, make sure you check your document requirements before you set off.
To ensure your corporate documents are valid overseas you may be required to have your document apostilled or authentificated by a government authority, or 'legalised' by an embassy or consulate. You may also need a Power of Attorney or notarial certification as different countries have different requirements in relation to witnessing of signatures and certifying of documents. Whilst our in-house Justice of the Peace can certify documents for use in Australia, if you're sending your certified documents overseas, the certification needs to be carried out by a notary public.
Let us give you another example: travellers to Libya need the first of their passport translated into Arabic before they can obtain a Libyan visa. The translation, however, needs to be hand written into their passport and accompanied by a special stamp, approved by the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFAT) and the Libyan People's Bureau. Without knowing the specific requirements of the Libyan government, travellers have been known to be turned away from the Libyan border, together with their fellow passengers!
Legal requirements for translations, corporate documents lodgment and acquisition vary from country, and sometimes even from state to state. Obtaining accurate information on how they should be prepared is essential, saving you time, stress and money. At Polaron, we can do the running around for you. If you require your documents to be legalised for international use, please contact one of our specialist consultants on 1300 88 65 31.
